Why are so many people here judgmental?

Whenever I ask a question on this site, I inevitably get some abuse as well as answers - as does my 16 year old daughter. Why are so many people on this site so judgmental about people they know nothing of?? Most questions only touch very, very briefly on whatever issue, & don't give a full account of what's happening. It could be a great site but the no-life brigade spoil it.

Try to find a way to get her back that is within the law. If that person was threatening her I don't see what the problem is. She was defending herself. The best thing to do is find a way to resolve this thats in the law. See if they will allow you to keep her if she is inside and if you get a trainer.

Is my friend rude, mad or both? Or am I?

I’ve been a damn good friend to her, if I say so myself. I’m her only friend. She’s very interested in my life and current affairs, and asks the usual sort of weekly things, etc. However, when it’s my time to ask her how life is, etc, she clams up! For example, I ask her if she’s going to be working this Saturday and she’ll say, “We’ll see”. Also, once, she asked me what time I leave for work and naturally I told her. When I asked what time she leaves she said, “When I’m ready”. She went on holiday a few years ago, near the same place where I’m going next month, and I couldn’t remember where she went exactly and just wanted some holiday tips, etc. When I asked her if it was Cornwall, she said “No”. When I asked her if it was Somerset or Devon she replied, “No”. When I did ask her whereabouts it was, she said, “In between the three of those”. Am I mad to continue with her or is she the mad one?

ok so for a few days i had these bad backache (which i never had before) i had unprotected a lot the whole week that i was ovulating (fiance & i are ttc) i felt super tired and dont feel like eating much im kina queasy i didnt have any spotting or anything.ive been feeling like this for the past week and last night i had a very mild headache and today i have a stomach ache and my back still hurts. my period is due today and i still havent gotten it im waiting to see if it pops up but nothing yet. This morning i though AF came because i had cramping just like i usually do before my period but this time it wasnt my period just discharge. Okay so a couple of weeks ago I had and had to pee really bad that I even woke up in the night from it but didn't end up peeing until noon the next day, After this my pee started to smell really bad/strong and is cloudy. When I pee I get this burning sensation and then after for a while I feel very "uncomfortable" down there. It started to go away and I hadn't urniated any foul smells until after I had ual again. It sounds like nueropathy. There are several different varieties. My wife is going through her third bout of peripheral neuropathy. The symptoms you cited are similar. Guillan-Barre syndrome is a possible culprit. Also a form of nueropathy. The 'sheath' that covers the nerves wears away, that's what makes the extremities tingle and then slowly die leading to paralysis. It's a drag watching someone you love go through it. You mention grandpa was riding his bike hhome from the bar. There is a nother kind of neuropathy...'alcoholic nueropathy'. Do a web-search, you'll be just as interested as you are in the story of Grandpa's death.

How do I get through being pregnant by a friend?!?

I had an abortion when I was 19yrs cause I wasnt ready, emotionally and financially very ignorant back then, the experience was for me very traumatic, eventually split up from the babys dad and I decided to get a coil (IUD)a couple of wks later. I remained single and abstained from the past two yrs (the abortion messed me up). Ok, so I met this 30yr old guy (I shall refer to him as J) just over a year ago through a friend, I was 21! I was at the same time really scared cause of the coil, I went to the doctors, had a scan and discovered the coil had ended up in my womb... booked another appointment to have the coil removed. I fell in love with my baby the second time I saw him and heard his heart beat, I chose to carry on and even though theres a risk of miscarriage! J wanted me to have an abortion the moment I told him which is understandable. Eventually, he calmed down and said he would help and do his bit... I suggested adoption but J went ballistic saying theres no way ur giving my son away to strangers! J said he didnt want anyone of his friends and family to knw of this babys existence, the moment I suggested adoption, he said he'd tell his family but I dont believe him. Im 22yrs, an undergraduate student, cant get a job, almost 7mnths very lonely and miserable, that my uni work is beginning to suffer. I have told my siblings, but my parents still arent aware their only daughter is about to be a single mum. I dont knw how to tell them, I cant bear to see the disappointment. I love my unborn son but I wish I had made J wear a condom. I am so sad and disappointed and so is J, what would become of my child?! Anyone else ever found themselves in this situation?? Huh? Child support is a percantage based on how much a month the parent thats giving it makes. If you dont want to go through the courts then its up to you to decide, there is no set limit, its a deal between you and the other parent if they agree. It cost more than 150 a month on average to pay for the support of a child. I was owed that much as a child back in like 1983. Things have gone up, 150 isnt much, but its up to you. Really its best to go through the courts so that no one on either side gets screwed, and if your the person paying out then keep record of what you give, because by not going through the courts can later bite you in the rear without record. good luck~

It sounds like myths to me but as with most myths, there's probably some kernel of truth. If you over work yourself you'll do damage to ligaments, cartilage, and growth plates and that would slow down growth. I'd say take up squatting but don't go overboard. Weight lifting stimulates bones to become more dense and so you're bones will become thicker but I've never heard of weight lifting increasing bone length.

Mind you she still wants me to move in with her, the only reason I can see for this is to falsely convience me that we won't be phisical for a while, and to try and teach me a lesson about hanging up on her, which I don't even do every 3 months, but I did do it a week ago. She says it's still disrespectful, and I'm just like w(t)f, you just called me a lier like 5 times.

Erik Johnson?!?

Yeah you were in a cave, Erik Johnson is a great player. He was picked first overall because he is going to be first overall material. Sure he is no Crosby or Ovechkin but that happends every 10 years or so. Dont expect to get a Hall of Famer each year in the draft. And they did not waste the draft pick because he was going to college the next year. Think of it this way. Would you pick up Paul Coffey if you could even though he was not going to play that year. YEAH YOU WOULD! Now I am not saying Johnson is going to be a Coffey but he is going to be a very good player and if you hold the rights to him you take him. You have him on your team then when he wants to sign. He went to college because for one he will get better. He is very young only 19. He would have been 18 going into the NHL where the best of the best players from around the world are going to play. He could use some development time to sharpen his skills. Plus for Johnson if he goes into the NHL Draft he gets a lot of $$$$. Now who does not want that?

and I since I know she has warrants, I will inform the authorities of her whereabouts tomorrow night when she drops my daughter off for visitation. I will then file for a modification of final judgment to obtain primary residential responsibility of my daughter ( i currently have shared parental responsibility and standard visitation). I know this seems as though I am taking my daughter away from her mother but you just don't realize how my daughter will turn out if she continues to be raised full time by this mother. My Dog's Poison or Not, I've Got To Fine Out?

In Dec, 2005 my 10 yr old Rott ped & in April, 2006 my 10 yr old Lab had to be put down. They both displayed the same symptoms it took about 7 to 10 days. Both started to swell up, legs included.They slowly stopped eating, dark blood in the stool & runny in the last couple days both started going down in the hind-end and would howl tryin to get up after sitting. They both began acting lethorgic and very much in pain. Unable to pay a vet at that time a drug Co Metacam paid for an autopsy on my Rott but do to the time frame 30 days after the resultes were not clear but modules were noted on her liver and the right kidney was enlarged. My Lab I got to the vet, a light brown fluid was pulled off from around his chest he continuned to decline and I had him put down. My vet wrote a statement for the Police stating (toxins could not be ruled out) due to the time frame and not knowing what toxin to test for no toxology was done. I've got to fine out, Please any HELP or answers. TY Naosbbo

Our small provider was bought out by Verizon and we had to go in and switch over. I have had a Blackberry for 4 years and I love it! Verizon says that if I want a Blackberry I will have to have the data plan which is 30 dollars every month. I will never use that. They gave me a phone called LG Octane. I hate it! What is the meaning of the poem "despair" by samuel coleridge?

Coleridge was known for wallowing in the morbid. This is a very romantic (style) poem that we would almost call Goth or Emo these days. He is bemoaning the pain of life, itself, wondering if it's all worth it. The "Hostage' he refers to here could be read as a lover or as his love of nature, which was a central theme in his work. I like the ending, which is him describing an unspoken promise we all share with each other - that life is basically Hope and we've all entered into a promise (this League of Blood) to keep pretending that life is worth living. But he's threatening to break this pact and leave life behind. Very morbid, indeed. Reminds me very much of Hamlet's 'To be or not to be' speech.

Student Affairs VS Community Counseling?

I have my Masters in College Student Personnel, which is similar to a Master's in Student Affairs. Although my degree was counseling-based, in retrospect I wish I had gone a route that would have allowed me to pursue licensure later on. If you are positive that you want a career in higher education, then a counseling-based College Personnel degree would be the way to go, as you will have a greater focus on higher education theory and practice. However, if you want to remain open, then it sounds like the Community Counseling route is the way for you. Just try to have some exposure to college students (maybe by getting an istantship in an academic advisement office or or doing your practi in the college counseling department).

Hi There, First of all (and clearly I dont know you) congratulations on your choice to eat healthy!! I am uming since you posted this that you are serious about losing weight and that you want an honest answer. This recipe does sound delish but I would say if you're super serious about losing weight (more than just a few pounds) I would omit the pasta and the salad dressing. Pre-packaged dressings sometimes contain loads of carbs and sugars (also carbs) which make people hungry and more gain weight. Everything has carbs so its best to chose those things that have fewer carbs so you are totally right to have picked whole wheat pasta versus regular. But I promise you that the best way to lose weight is to eat healthy and not just diet. Loads of veggies, salads, whole grains and lean proteins. I am disabled and ride a 125cc trike. The petrol tank filler is right up against the battery,and as the aperture is small, there is difficulty fitting the nozzle into it, and it's impossible to see how much petrol is in the tank. Ok, about a year ago I noticed my younger brother started acting differently. He dropped out of baseball which is the sport he's been playing since he was 5. For the top get PVC sheets or ABS sheets, get ABS if you can it has higher and lower temperature tolerances. Use a router, sandpaper, file, etc. to round over the edges of the plastic sheeting, this way you won't need a coping. Pressure treated lumber is not necessary, but you will want to use some sort of product to make sure the wood won't rot. For dimensions make it at least 10 feet long, any shorter and as soon as you get on it you'll already be off. For width I would say anywhere for 6"-12", and about 12'-15' long, go longer if you can but it starts to be unpractical after 15'.

I recently started my first fish tank and after fishless cycling, added 6 fish to my tank ( I know now this was too many at once) and so my tank is going through a mini cycle and I am doing water changes to help lower the levels. Ammonia was at .25ppm at one time but one water change brought it down to 0ppm. Nitrites rose to .50ppm and I did one water change and added 1/2 cap Stability and they are down to 0ppm. Nitrates only have been at .5ppm.

Why wont IR Shell on my psp work?

Well I have been in a similar way. You don't want your grades to suffer but you need to have fun. I would quit the tutor job and get me a job with other young people. Then I would find some girls to hang out with ( the good kind not the slutty ones) and go hang out. Stay away from parties since you don't like that type. Hang out with your girls and be available but don't act available. Don't go out trying to find someone. If one of your friends wants to set you up on a date go for it. Always keep in your mind that you are the most important and that you will decide if that person is worth dating, not the other way around. I noticed when I went out looking for a date cause I was lonely I didn't have many dates and the ones that I had didn't work at all. When I started hanging out with my friend and we started doing things and I felt that I didn't need a guy to make me happy I had guys constantly ringing my phone off the hook. I would have 15 guys at one time wanting to go out or hang out with me. So I chose the ones that I liked and didn't like and finally I met the guy that I feel in love with and now I am 33 weeks pregnant. Don't go looking for love, let love come to you hun. It will, I promise.

I would create a make shift box to put the egg in the middle of with the straws reinforced with tape, string and the like. With that, I would suspend the egg in the middle of that with your rubber bands and string. The idea is to absorb the blow with the rubber bands and odviously you don't want the egg coming into contact with the ground. Why do i keep thinking about my friend?

Why won't my WMM movie let me publish?

Everytime I try and publish my movie on Windows Movie Maker, it says that it is unable to publish it, and I must check to see if I have enough space on my disk. The disk has 448 MB free of 28.7 GB, and the movie takes less than 20 MB up. It also says to look whether or not the place I am trying to save it to still exists; I tried saving it to multiple places (videos, pictures, desktop, etc) and they all exist, it just won't save. I've tried their website and other help websites and nothing is helping me. I need this published ASAP - what am I supposed to do?

Okay so I have been on a new diet for muscle m gaining . I am currently 168 lb 6'0 lean active teenager age 16 . I played soccer almost all my life , I have no record of my family being diabetics , and I go to the gym 6 times a week for 1-2 hours of exercise . Recently the past week I have been consuming around 2800-3000 calories to bulk up , but I noticed that my sugar intake is really high, some days 80 some days a little over 100 . I started getting really worried when I had to go to the bathroom every 2 -3 hours to urinate . I drink plenty of liquids throughout the day . I consume a lot of water during my exercise and throughout the day , 3 liquid protein shakes a day , and a preworkout supplement that is liquid . Could this be the problem ? I also have been taking in alot of sodium and not enough potium . My sodium intake is around the 5000 . I dont have any burning when I urinate , so I dont think its a UTI . Im thinking its either I drink alot of fluids throughout the day , or my sodium intake is too high . Somebody help !

I have an undergrad BA from 2005 and am considering medical school to become an OBGYN doctor. I have a lot of calculus from undergrad but no sciences so I need to take everything. Is it better to go somewhere prestigious like Northwestern for my prerequisites or is it okay to go to a local community college to save money. I hate when my lips are RED?

I absolutely hate it when my lips are discolored/red...It is my biggest pet peeve possible. Most of the time I will re apply burts bees lip chap to keep them moist, and put clinique foundation on my lips to keep them a light, creamy color that I like. I take a thyroid pill for over 2 years, lately I have been very anxious?

I am a nurse and I draw blood, all of a sudden I have become vvery anxious about drawing blood and I dont know if it is related to taking thyroid medication. I think I want to stop taking it to see if my anxiety decreases, but I have read that too low of a level can also cause palpatations and anxiety.This anxiety only manifests when drawing blood. It could also be related to a patient that got very upset with me 4 weeks ago after I drew his blood, I dont know if he has caused me to be apprehensive about drawing blood. FYI-- I have drawn blood for over 18 years and I am considered one of the best in my agency, but all of sudden I have become extremely anxious. the last 3 patients I was a wreck. Why is my hamster sneezing / coughing?

My 8 week old panda bear hamster (Bandit) makes these "puffy sneezing/coughing" sounds. He displays no other symptoms of illness (Well groomed, eyes wide open, ears raised high, no eye/nose discharge, dry poop + clean bum, active, eats lots of food and drinks plenty of water). I read that it was possibly the bedding and did some research on the brand that I was initially using (Carefresh Odor Control) and found out it's a super dusty brand. I'm baby sitting my girlfriend's hamster who recently changed over to this brand and noticed that he (Oreo) started sneezing too as opposed to before. So today, I bought them both new aspen bedding, and I cleaned all the dust out of everything thoroughly. Why are they both still sneezing? Are they just in the midst of expelling remaining dust out of their system or...? Bandit has access to plenty of hamster pellets, a dish wheel, mineral stone, salt lick, and water. Same thing for Oreo except no salt lick and has a wheel as well as the dish wheel. Both hamsters are using the "Sunthing Special" aspen bedding brand. Please tell me if I should bring them in to my local pet store (That does free diagnostics within the first 5 days of notice). Thank you!
