Why do we force gymnast ladies to wear a leotrad..?

You should really look at stock footage of gymnastics from the 30's and 40's. Gymnast have always worn a leotard and probably will always. the one piece unit always freedom of movement while not in-bering the athlete too much. While perverts will say it's "y", it is the uniform. But you should really be asking "why do the beach volleyball players have to wear such tiny bikini's all the time"...that's a real question.
