Will coyotes go into a barn?

We live out in the country and have a lot of land. I always umed we had coyotes around, but today we saw two of them only about a hundred feet from our house going back into the woods. It's winter so I'm uming food is scarce and they're hunting. I'm just worried because my cat lives in the barn, would they enter a space that was clearly occupied by humans or would they be too afraid?
