Are new Fiat cars allowed to be purchased/driven in the United States?

I suspect the could, if they meet the new 4x rule proposed by the US insurance industry. Weak roofs kill too many here. Seams that the US government is to eager to blow-off legitimate concerns, in this simply sensible situation. Is our government doing what it was established to do?-I think not!
