Funeral question: My estranged mother's aunt died. I haven't seen the aunt in 25 years; should I go...?

to the funeral or showing? I feel bad about it, but am inclined to not go because I don't want to see these people. I'm not in their lives and it would be uncomfortable for me but I feel a tad bit conflicted about going to the funeral.
