Can you be a longhorn fan as well as being a cornhusker fan?

I know someone who swears he likes both teams and yet up here in husker nation: texas, oklahoma, missouri, and colorado are among the hated i understand liking teams in a different conference like being a fan of both boise state and nebraska, but esspecially with what happened in the Big XII Championship game i dont think you can be a fan of both teams what do you think
