Queensland Law, caps on damages?

I believe there has been some legislation ped in Qld which places caps on the amount of damages someone can recover due to an injury suffered because of someone else’s negligence. Is this true? Is there any other relevent legislation in Victoria or New South Wales? Are there any recent articles in Australia within the last ten years?
